The approach
How we worked through it.
Orbit's engineers had built thirty surfaces and each one had its own date picker. We shipped a 40-component design system and rewrote the seven highest-traffic screens against it.
The rest of the team migrated the remaining screens themselves over the following quarter — which was the point.
