The studio

Small studio. Full ownership.

Next Smile Studio is a design and development studio based in the Netherlands. Four people, a selective client list, and a simple rule: everyone on your project knows your project.

Most studios take a brief, then hand it off. You end up managed by people who were not in the room when the decisions were made. We keep the team small so that cannot happen.

Principles

What guides us.

  1. 01We collaborate on the project. We are not hired developers working in the background.
  2. 02We challenge ideas when we think there's a better approach. That's part of the job.
  3. 03Once we ship something, we keep it running. Hosting, maintenance, and fixes are part of the deal.
  4. 04If we cannot do it in-house, we will say so and point you toward someone who can. We do not broker work we would not sign off on.
Process

What working together looks like.

01

Understand

We take time to understand your business, your users, and what a good outcome actually looks like. We write our own version of the brief. If we align on it, we move forward together.

02

Plan

We prototype the uncertain parts first. You're involved throughout. Design is where we make decisions together, not where we disappear and come back with a presentation.

03

Design & Build

We ship to a staging environment early and keep you updated every week. You see real progress, give real feedback, and we course-correct in the open.

04

Launch

We deploy, walk your team through the product, and document how it works. We host everything. If you want to keep working together afterward, we'll talk about what that looks like.

Included

What comes with it.

  • Hosting

We host everything we build. You don't deal with servers, domains, or infrastructure.

  • Maintenance

Security patches, dependency updates, compatibility fixes. These happen without you having to ask.

  • Post-launch support

If something breaks after launch, we fix it. That's not a separate contract.

  • Direct access

You have a line to the people who built it. Not a support inbox, not a ticket queue.
